01Healing milestones
- Week 1: soft-tissue healing, swelling resolves, soft-food diet.
- Weeks 2–4: progressive return to normal diet under provisional prosthesis.
- Months 2–4: osseointegration — the bone fuses to the implants.
- Months 4–6: second trip for the final prosthesis.
02Working with your home dentist
Most US dentists are professional about coordinating with overseas care, especially when you bring the complete imaging, surgical plan, and provisional records with you. Ask Meridian for the digital case file before you fly home — it is your portable medical record.
03How the warranty works
Network clinics offer written warranties — typically 5–10 years on the implant fixture and 1–2 years on the prosthetic. Coverage is triggered by a photo, a brief remote consult with the surgeon, and (if needed) a return trip whose flight costs are not covered but whose clinical work is.
Coordinated, not abandoned
Meridian stays in the loop after the trip. If a provisional debonds in week three, you message us — not a customer support inbox 4,000 miles away.
04When to return for in-person care
Small adjustments and provisionals can usually be handled by a partner dentist locally. Implant failure, prosthetic re-fabrication, or any structural revision should go back to the original surgeon. The clinic that placed it knows the case best — and the warranty is contingent on it.
